Q: Who runs HuntFishOverstock?
A: Scott Leysath, co-host of the nationally syndicated HuntFishCook TV show (with Donny Mac!), a nationally renowned fish and game chef also known as “The Sporting Chef” and Rand Ferris, longtime hunting and fishing partner and friend.
Q: What is the origin of HuntFishOverstock?
A: OK, so Scott Leysath, one of the founders of HuntFishOverstock, co-hosts that TV show (HuntFishCook) and he, with his buddy, Rand, came up with an idea to create a website where individuals can sell their used hunting and fishing equipment to each other (HuntFishSell – still working on it). He described this idea to a few of his TV show sponsors and they said “Hey how about creating something for us so that we can sell our overstock items to people who love to hunt and fish?”, and so, HuntFishOverstock was created.
Q: So...are all of the products really overstocked items?
Nope, but they're all priced at the lowest price we can get by with and still make a few bucks. We do have overstocked items and we're always on the lookout for bargains, but most Overstock sites and stores, including HuntFishOverstock, are not really overstock sites. We're pretty sure that the term "factory outlet" has lost its original meaning as well. So..what's in a name? Compare our prices to any other outdoor retailer and we're pretty sure you'll see it's the value, and not the name, that makes the difference.
